Job Details

• Schedule: Dayshift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• Candidates must have a minimum of 1 year of current hospital acute care experience
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Circulating and scrubbing experience in operating rooms
• Meditech electronic medical record system experience

About the Role

Location: 501 E Hampden Ave, Englewood, CO 80113

Unit Description: The surgical unit has 408 beds with 14 operating rooms including specialized spaces such as hybrid cardiovascular operating rooms and cysto rooms. Staff includes approximately 60 full-time equivalents, with a diverse team of OR Registered Nurses, Certified Surgical Technologists, and other clinical personnel.

Typical Procedures: Angioplasty, appendectomy, biopsy, orthopedic and spine surgeries

Personnel and Equipment: Standard operating room equipment, Stryker video systems, modern technology assets, patient ratios of 1:1 for surgical cases

Persoanlity Fit: Effective communication skills, patient focus, adaptability to fast-paced environments

Unit Policies: On-call availability from 5PM to 7PM one day per week, weekend on-call every six weeks when the orthopedic surgeon is on-call

Pay

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
