Travel Surgical Technologist OR jobs in Birmingham, AL let you assist in operating rooms at the facility, supporting surgeons and nurses in a collaborative, patient-focused environment. You will prepare surgical instruments, maintain sterile fields, and document procedures using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surgical instruments and equipment
- Maintain sterile fields during procedures
- Document surgical procedures using EMR systems
- Support surgeons and nurses in the operating room
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) license (Compact Accepted)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA (copy needed)
- NIH Stroke Scale certification
- SSN and date of birth required
- No more than 30 days gap in entire work history
- 2 years of General Surgery and Orthopedic experience
Qualifications
- Surgical technologist certification
- Graduation from an accredited surgical technology program
- Experience in an operating room setting
- Previous travel experience preferred
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Experience with Davinci and Maxofacial procedures preferred
