Travel Nurse RN - OR - Operating Room - $1,950 per week

About the role

Operating Room Nurse – Night shift in Augusta, Georgia. This position requires acute clinical skills and experience in trauma, emergency, and high‑stress environments. The nurse supports trauma patient care, assists with emergency procedures, and works during night hours to provide critical care in a fast‑paced surgical setting.

Responsibilities

• Support trauma patient care during the initial primary and secondary survey period.
• Assist with emergency procedures such as spinal stabilization, splinting, chest tube placement, traction, central and arterial line placement, and other bedside interventions.
• Operate specialized equipment including rapid infusers, ultrasound, and advanced monitoring systems.
• Provide critical care in a fast‑paced OR environment during night shifts.
• Collaborate with the emergency room team and lead trauma nursing activities.

Required qualifications

• Valid RN license.
• Certifications: TNCC, ACLS, BLS, and PALS.
• Strong background in IV placement, emergent bedside procedures, and trauma care.
• Willingness to work nights and weekends.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with mass transfusions and advanced trauma procedures.
• Experience performing spinal stabilization, splinting, chest tube assistance, traction, central/arterial line placement.
• Proficiency with rapid infusers, ultrasound, and advanced monitoring systems.

Skills

• Critical thinking and ability to manage high‑stress situations efficiently.
• Strong IV and bedside procedural skills.
• Effective teamwork and communication in emergency settings.

Schedule

12‑hour night shifts, minimum 36 hours per week.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36 hours per week, with a tax‑free stipend (amount to be determined).
