Travel Nurse RN - OR - Operating Room - $1,939 per week

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Operating Room RN for a 13‑week travel assignment starting 10/05/2026 in Zanesville, OH. The position involves providing comprehensive perioperative patient care, preparing the OR, managing equipment, and collaborating with the surgical team while working 40 hours per week on 8‑hour day shifts.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room by ensuring all required instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies are ready and functional for each surgical procedure
• Assist in positioning and preparing patients for surgery, addressing concerns and ensuring comfort and safety according to procedural requirements
• Maintain a sterile field throughout surgical procedures and adhere to infection control protocols and sterile technique
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team, providing instruments, supplies, and support promptly to maintain efficient workflow
• Monitor the patient's condition during surgery, documenting significant changes and notifying the surgeon
• Handle surgical instruments and supplies, ensuring their proper use, sterilization, and disposal according to facility protocols
• Manage specimen collection, labeling, and transport according to facility protocols, ensuring accurate diagnostic results
• Document all aspects of patient care in the perioperative setting accurately and thoroughly
• Participate in patient handoff communication during pre‑ and post‑operative phases, ensuring continuity of care
• Assist in cleaning and restocking the operating room between cases, adhering to infection control and turnover protocols
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure compliance with facility policies, procedures, and standards
• Follow hospital safety rules and procedures, including proper use of PPE and infection prevention measures
• Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice

Requirements

• One year of recent experience as an Operating Room RN
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)

Qualifications

• ACLS (AHA/ARC), PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC
