Travel Nurse RN - OR - Operating Room - $1,680 per week

About the role

Operating Room (OR) Nurse position in a level 3 trauma center. Start date: 10/18/2026; assignment duration: 13 weeks. The role involves working four 10‑hour daytime shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with a rotating call schedule that includes evenings and weekends. The nurse provides excellent perioperative patient care in a busy surgical environment, responds promptly to hospital needs, and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative patient care in a fast‑paced OR setting.
• Respond promptly to hospital needs, including rapid response within 30 minutes of a supervisor call.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary surgical team.
• Support orientation of three nurses currently in training.
• Participate in rotating call schedule (evenings, weekends, and one weekend call approximately every 5 weeks).

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license or state ID.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Successful completion of the UHS Skills Checklist.
• Completion of the UHS Submission Packet and Prior Employment Form.

• Experience working in an operating room or surgical setting is advantageous.

Schedule

• Four 10‑hour shifts per week, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (40‑hour minimum weekly).
• Call hours: 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. the following day.
• One weekend call approximately every 5 weeks (7:00 a.m. Saturday to 7:00 a.m. Sunday or vice versa).
