Travel Nurse RN - Operating Room

Responsibilities

• Preparing the operating room with necessary instruments and supplies
• Assisting in patient positioning and ensuring safety and comfort
• Maintaining sterile technique and infection control protocols
• Supporting the surgical team with supplies and instruments
• Monitoring patient condition during procedures and documenting care
• Handling specimen collection and ensuring proper documentation
• Ensuring proper cleaning, restocking, and compliance with safety standards
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality perioperative care

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum one year of recent OR RN experience
• Valid RN license per state regulations
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
• Critical thinking, good communication, and interpersonal skills
• Physical ability to move equipment and assist patients
• Ability to work under pressure and adhere to safety protocols

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS, PALS, or ENPC certifications
• OR Nursing Certification (CNOR)
