Responsibilities

• Care for patients on the Surgical Floor (2nd Floor, 31 beds) with the following conditions:
  • Medical: CHF, Sepsis, COPD, CVA, DVT, PE, Cellulitis, AKI, ETOH, Psych, IVDA, Hospice
  • Post-Surgical: Ortho, Neuro, Urology, GYN, ENT, GI (Hemicoloctomy, Exploratory lap, GIB), Spinal (ECDF, Fusions, Lami), GU (TURP, Cysto), Pulmonology (VATS/RATS), Surgical Oncology (esophagectomy), ENT (laryngectomy)
  • Inpatient Oncology patients, including chemotherapy administration
• Patient Ratios:
  • Day: 1:5-6
  • If delivering chemo: 1:3-4

Requirements

• Required Certifications:
  • BLS
  • NIHSS
  • ONS Chemo Provider Card
• OCN certification not required
