Travel Nurse RN - Oncology - $2,357 per week

About the role

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Oncology for a 13‑week assignment in Freehold, New Jersey. The position requires 36 hours per week on 12‑hour night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide top‑level care for critically or chronically ill cancer patients.
• Administer chemotherapy and implement new symptom‑treatment methods under physician direction.
• Monitor patients’ progress.
• Coordinate treatment plans.
• Provide patient education and treatment tracking.
• Serve as a reliable source of comfort and support for patients and families.
• Attend to numerous details while working under pressure.
• Implement best‑practice treatment protocols in various settings.
• Stand and walk for extended periods; bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty.
• Lift up to 20 pounds routinely; patient handling may require lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Be aware of potential hazards from chemical and infectious‑disease exposure.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and chemotherapy (CHEMO) certifications.
• Additional certifications may be required before starting the assignment.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
