Travel Nurse RN - Oncology - $2,055 per week

Job Summary

The Medical Surgical Oncology Floor Nurse position is based in Des Moines, Iowa. This role involves providing high-quality patient care in a Medical Surgical Oncology specialty setting, with an emphasis on specialized chemotherapy and infusion procedures. The position requires adherence to established protocols within a busy hospital environment and involves floating across units as necessary.

Schedule

Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.

Required Qualifications

• Active Iowa nursing license
• 12 years of experience in Medical Surgical and Oncology settings
• At least 1 travel contract completed within the past 12 months
• Current American Heart Association or ARC/Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• 24 months of current Oncology or Medical Surgical experience evidenced in work history
• Skills specific to Oncology and Medical Surgical nursing
• Documentation of Infusaport access experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Recent chemo experience
• Oncology Certification (CHEMO / ONS / ONCC)
• EPIC electronic medical record experience
• Experience floating across multiple units
• Familiarity with chemotherapy and infusion procedures

Certifications

BLS (American Heart Association or ARC/Red Cross).

Additional Information

• The applicant must be eligible to work in the state of Iowa with an active licensure status.
• Candidate must have completed at least one travel assignment in the last 12 months, with a focus on Oncology and Medical Surgical specialties.
• Floating across campuses may be required with no specific drip/titration responsibilities.

Pay Package

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
