Travel Nurse RN - Oncology - $1,970 per week

About the role

This position involves providing specialized oncology nursing care across various units within multiple healthcare facilities. The role requires adaptability, strong clinical skills, and certification in chemotherapy administration and biotherapy. The nurse will assess, plan, and deliver patient-centered care primarily in a fast-paced oncology setting.

Responsibilities

• Administering chemotherapy
• Monitoring for adverse reactions
• Caring for ports and central lines
• Managing symptoms such as tumor lysis syndrome and neutropenic precautions
• Providing patient education

Requirements

• BLS certification
• Chemo (ONS/ONCC) certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience
• Valid Compact state license in hand at submission
• Able to work in locations within 50 miles
• Must have a vehicle for this assignment
• Willingness to float between units and facilities as needed based on skill set
• Must commit to working three of five major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Must include responses to specific candidate questions regarding prior experience at Providence facilities
• Must submit two recent references

Qualifications

• Experience with Autologous Stem Cell Transplant and CAR-T therapy patients preferred

Schedule

• Days shift, 12-hour shifts
• Minimum 36 hours per week
• Float rotation may be required
• All scheduling requests must be made upfront during submittal

Pay

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
