Travel Nurse RN - Oncology - $1,896 per week

About the role

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Oncology for a travel nursing job in Aurora, Colorado. The position is for an immediate opening, 13-week duration, 36 hours per week, 12-hour night shifts. The RN should have 1-2 years recent acute care experience. As an Oncology RN, you'll provide top-level care for critically or chronically ill cancer patients, administer chemotherapy, implement symptom treatment methods, monitor patient progress, educate patients about treatment options, and provide comfort and support to patients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate treatment plans.
• Provide patient education and treatment tracking.
• Be a reliable source of comfort and support for cancer patients and their families.
• Attend to a great number of details while working under pressure.
• Implement best practice treatment protocols in a variety of settings.
• Stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean and stoop without difficulty.
• Easily lift 20 pounds; moving or lifting patients may require lifting up to 50 pounds at times.
• Face hazards from exposure to chemicals and infectious diseases.

Requirements

• BLS certification.
• Minimum 2 years recent acute care experience.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

Duration: 13 weeks; 36 hours per week; Shift: 12 hours, nights.
