About the role
Medasource is seeking a travel nurse RN OB/GYN for a travel nursing job in Lander, Wyoming.
Responsibilities
- Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
- Appropriately assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care.
- Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
- Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
- Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
- Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
- Circulates during C/Sections, attends deliveries assisting the physician as needed.
- Follows appropriate policies during the recovery and care of surgical patients.
- Attends the neonatal station in the C/Section suite and completely assesses the neonate post delivery.
- Attends fetal monitoring certification classes every two years.
- Attends S T A B L E certification class if offered is NRP certified.
- Able to identify necessary information to be communicated to physicians and patients.
Requirements
- Must have ACLS, BLS, NRP, STABLE & AWHONN certifications; must be attached to submission (Must be through the American Heart Association).
- Must have WY RN or multi-state RN license, must be attached to resume.
- Must have 2 years recent RN Level 1 Nursery, Postpartum, OB/GYN & L&D/LDRP experience.
- This can include taking care of OB/GYN patients (post-op hysterectomy), Antepartum care, Triage care, Labor and Delivery care, and Postpartum.
- Candidate may be required to float to another unit depending on facility census. This will only be as helping hands or as sitter.
- SageWest coversheet must be attached to the submission.
