Travel Nurse RN - Nursery - $2,058 per week

Travel Nurse RN Nursery position for a travel nursing job in Suffolk, Virginia. Start date: 10/05/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. 36 hours per week. Shift: 12 hours, nights.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor medical operations, advise patients and family on illnesses or injuries, and plan long-term care needs.
• Monitor patients' vital signs, emotional and physical well-being, and report any changes.
• Administer treatments, medications, tests and procedures.
• Provide basic care to well babies.
• Provide light oxygen therapy to babies.
• Respond promptly to the needs of a newborn.
• Administer vaccinations and newborn screens per hospital policy.

Requirements

• At least 1-2 years' recent acute care experience.
• BLS certification.
• NRP certification.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean and stoop without difficulty.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds at a time when moving or lifting patients.
• Good skills for coping with stress and ability to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
