About the role
Travel NICU RN position in Providence, Rhode Island. Start date: 11/02/2026. Specialty: NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care. Discipline: RN.
Responsibilities
- Care for infants transitioning to extra uterine life.
- Monitor vital signs and initiate corrective action when necessary.
- Provide nutritional assessment and specialized feedings.
- Change dressings, insert catheters, start IVs.
- Provide arterial and intravenous therapy.
- Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients, such as incubators and ventilators.
- Stand and walk for long periods of time; bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty.
- Lift 10‑20 pounds of equipment as needed.
- Face potential hazards from exposure to chemicals and infectious diseases.
Requirements
- 1‑2 years' recent acute care experience (preferred)
- BLS certification
- NRP certification
- 5 years experience (as noted in requirements)
- Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
Schedule
- Shift: 12 hours, rotating
- Hours per week: 36.0
- Duration: 9 weeks
