Travel Nurse RN - NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care - $2,540 per week
Job Summary
The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) at a healthcare facility in Norfolk, VA will provide specialized care in a Level IV, 70-bed NICU unit. The nurse will administer care to critically ill neonates with various diagnoses and procedures, adhering to unit protocols and maintaining a high standard of patient safety and comfort.
Job Details
- Shift: Nights (12:00 AM to 12:00 PM), every other weekend, holidays as needed
- Schedule: 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications
- Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- 3 years of experience in neonatal intensive care nursing
- CURRENT licensure as an RN in Virginia or eligible for licensure in Virginia
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with bedside surgeries such as PDA ligation, chest tubes, and Penrose drains
- Familiarity with Cerner computerized charting system
Additional Information
- Orientation period lasts 2-3 shifts
- Floating to Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) may be required, with similar patient populations
