Travel Nurse RN - NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care - $2,518 per week

About the role

We're looking for Neonatal Intensive Care Unit RNs for an immediate travel nurse opening in Livingston, NJ. The right RN should have 1-2 years' recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Care for infants transitioning to extra uterine life.
• Monitor vital signs and initiate corrective action when necessary.
• Provide nutritional assessment and specialized feedings.
• Change dressings, insert catheters, start IVs.
• Provide arterial and intravenous therapy.
• Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients, such as incubators and ventilators.
• Provide support to parents, ranging from emotional encouragement to advising on proper infant care.
• Stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean and stoop without difficulty.
• Easily lift 10-20 pounds of equipment at times.
• Face hazards from exposure to chemicals and infectious diseases.

Requirements

• 1-2 years' recent acute care experience (approximately 1.5 years)
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• NRP certification
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Schedule

• Duration: 13 weeks
• 36 hours per week
• Shift: 13 hours, nights

Pay

Pay package is based on 13 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
