HealthTrust Workforce Solutions HCA is seeking a travel nurse RN for a travel nursing assignment in the NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care unit.

Job Requirements

• Hours per week: 36 hours
• Shift: 12 hours, nights
• 2 years of experience in a hospital setting required
• Must have VA or Compact license

Unit Information

Special Care Nursery Level II (32 weeks and above)
Location: Stone Springs Hospital Center, 24440 Stone Springs Blvd, Dulles, VA 20166
Floor: 2nd Floor, Main Building

• Number of Beds: 5 – able to expand to 6
• Number of Staff: 2 RNs when unit is open
• Day Shift Staff: 1 charge, 1 RN (Second RN when unit is open)
• Night Shift Staff: 1 charge, 1 RN (Second RN when unit is open)
• Patient Ratios: Depends on acuity and volume
• Equipment: Giraffes, Pandas, Syringe Pumps, Hospira Pumps
• EMR: Meditech

Required Skills & Certifications

Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered.

• Minimum of 2 years NICU experience at Level 2 or greater
• NRP skills to attend vaginal and c/s deliveries
• NRP certification
• BLS certification

Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first.

• STABLE Certification
• Nursing Certification within specialty

• IV Antibiotics
• Dextrose infusions
• TPN/Lipids
• PO/NG feeds
• Umbilical Line maintenance
• Oxygen Support
• Nasal CPAP
• Surfactant administration assist
• Delivery attendance
• Family centered care for mothers and families

Postpartum: to care for Well Newborns, NRN role in L&D at deliveries
