About the role

This Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) specialist position is a backfill assignment in a Level III NICU with a focus on neonatal patient care. The role requires working rotating day and night shifts, with every other weekend required and the ability to work additional weekends if needed.

Schedule

• Rotating day/night shifts, 12 hours per shift
• Minimum of 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required; additional weekends possible
• IVS to OFFER Monday to Sunday scheduling with no block schedules
• Bi-weekly orientation on Monday (next scheduled for 09/21)

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized care in a Level III NICU
• Work with neonatal patients during rotating shifts

Requirements

• Certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
• Relevant nursing or healthcare degree
• Minimum of 2 years of NICU experience, preferably in a Level III NICU at a teaching facility
• EPIC electronic medical record experience within the past 2 years
• Detailed NICU work history including bed count, EMR, and facility type
• Reliable transportation with all-season or snow tires from November to April
