About the unit

Number of Beds: 17. Number of Staff: 21. Day Shift: 4 CNCs, 7 RNs, 2 PRN RNs. Night Shift: 2 CNCs, 6 RNs, 1 PRN RN. Patient Ratios: 1:1 to 3:1. EMR: Meditech, CPN.

• Giraffe isolettes
• Hamilton ventilators
• RAM cannula
• Baxter IV pumps
• Medfusion syringe pumps

Required qualifications

• Minimum of 1-year current acute care Level III NICU hospital experience
• BLS certification
• NRP certification

Preferred qualifications

• Delivery experience
• NICU/PICU experience
• PALS certification

Procedures performed

• UAC and UVC insertion
• Intubation

Kindhearted, self-motivated, and team player. Patient care experience is a priority. This is a small unit where the staff is more like a family than coworkers. Nurses take pride in the amazing care they provide to neonatal patients and their families, proven in patient outcomes. The team works very closely with Neonatologists, Nurse Practitioners, and the multidisciplinary team. Nursing staff are expected to have strong critical thinking skills, to be autonomous, to be strong advocates for their patients, and to assist in creating the daily plan of care.
