Travel Nurse RN - NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care - $2,293 per week

Travel nurse RN NICU position in Hartford, Connecticut. Start date: October 12, 2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Hours: 36 per week. Shift: 12‑hour rotating shifts. Employment type: Travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical care to sick and premature infants.
• Assist the care team in delivering round‑the‑clock care and support to parents, including emotional encouragement and guidance on infant care after discharge.
• Care for infants transitioning to extra‑uterine life.
• Monitor vital signs and initiate corrective action when necessary.
• Provide nutritional assessment and specialized feedings.
• Change dressings, insert catheters, start IVs.
• Provide arterial and intravenous therapy.
• Monitor and adjust specialized equipment such as incubators and ventilators.

Requirements

• Current BLS certification.
• Current NRP certification.
• Minimum 3 years of experience.
• 1‑2 years’ recent acute care experience preferred.
• Able to stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean, stoop without difficulty.
• Able to lift 10‑20 pounds of equipment.
• Potential exposure to chemicals and infectious diseases.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
