Job Summary
The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position in Spokane, Washington involves providing specialized care to neonates and infants in a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center. The role requires flexibility to float between units and work nights, emphasizing patient safety and clinical excellence.
Job Details
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications
- Valid Washington (WA) or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license
- At least 2 years of clinical experience
- Pediatric patient care experience
- Skills in blood and blood products administration
- NICU-specific procedures (e.g., ventilator management, NICU III/IV care, Neonatal Sepsis, Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Recent bedside experience in a NICU
- Able to float across units only for patients under 2 years old
- Familiarity with Epic electronic charting
- Experience working in a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center
Additional Information
- This position involves working variable weekends with coverage every other or as needed
- Candidates must have recent NICU bedside experience and be prepared to work with ventilators and specialized neonatal equipment

Pay Package
The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
