Travel Nurse RN - NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care - $1,970 per week

About the role

The role involves providing specialized care for critically ill neonates in a high-acuity Level III NICU setting. The provider will be responsible for delivering advanced nursing care to micro preemies and stabilize infants with complex needs, including respiratory support and surgical conditions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver advanced nursing care to micro preemies and stabilize infants with complex needs, including respiratory support and surgical conditions.
• Care for high acuity patients including grower feeder, 24 weeks gestation and up, with some on respiratory support and some post-surgical.
• Available for every other weekend and as needed for holidays.

Requirements

• Illinois Registered Nursing license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Level III - Level 4, caring for micro preemies born at 44 weeks gestation, high acuity patients including grower feeder, 24 weeks gestation and up, with some on respiratory support and some post-surgical.

Qualifications

• Comfort floating to other NorthShore facilities; float assignments will be communicated up to 2 hours prior to the scheduled shift.
• Epic charting experience preferred.

Skills

• Comfort with neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) procedures.
• Experience with respiratory support and surgical conditions.
• Floater skills to other NorthShore facilities.

Pay

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

12-hour night shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
