Travel Nurse RN - Neuro ICU - $3,200 per week

About the Role

Prime Time Healthcare Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN for a Neuro ICU position in Rochester, New York. This role involves working in a mixed-acuity neurosurgical unit, including an 8-bed high-acuity Stepdown unit.

Shift: 12 hours, nights | Duration: 17 weeks | Hours: 48 hours per week | Start Date: 09/14/2026

Responsibilities

• Perform Q1-hour neuro checks
• Manage patients with EVDs, lumbar drains, and subdural drains
• Administer 3% hypertonic saline and Cardene drips
• Monitor arterial lines
• Care for carotid endarterectomy patients, aneurysm coiling/clipping, Deep Brain Stimulator (DBS) insertion, VP shunts, and seizure management
• Handle weekends, holidays, on-call, callback, and charge responsibilities based on unit needs

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Stepdown/PCU experience required
• High-acuity Stroke & Neurosurgery experience required
• Telemetry experience required

Qualifications

• Active New York RN license
• BLS – AHA only
• ACLS – AHA only
• NIHSS certification

• Epilepsy surgery
• Stroke patients
• Complex post-op neurosurgical patients
• Floor-level and high-acuity Stepdown patients
