Travel Nurse RN - Med Surg / Telemetry - $2,975 per week

Job Summary

Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS/Tele) registered nurse position in a magnet and level II trauma facility located in a community hospital setting. This 13‑ or 26‑week assignment offers night shifts with a focus on adult and geriatric patient care, utilizing a co‑care/virtual nursing model. The role involves providing specialized care for patients undergoing various surgical procedures and with complex medical diagnoses.

Schedule

• Shift: 12‑hour nights
• Minimum 48 hours per week
• Duration: 13 weeks (option for 26 weeks)
• Start date: 10/19/2026
• Float to like units as needed to meet facility needs
• Three of the five holidays required, with advanced scheduling requests

Required Qualifications

• Valid Alaska RN license (or pending license acceptable for screening)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• At least 1 year of clinical experience
• Experience caring for a patient ratio of 5‑6 patients
• Charting experience with any system
• Skills: interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, use of rapid response/code teams, peripheral line management, oxygen administration, non‑invasive airway management, isolation precautions/PPE

Additional Information

• Unit utilizes a co‑care/virtual nursing model with bedside RNs, virtual RNs, and CNAs
• Patient ratios: 6:1 for bedside staff; virtual RNs assist with admissions, discharges, and documentation
• Assignment begins ASAP; all RTO requests included in submittal and approved individually
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility

Submission Requirements

• Two references covering 1 year (6 months for CNAs) within the last 3 years
• Responses to work at a Providence facility if applicable

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 48.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
