This role involves providing care to patients following surgical procedures, monitoring vital signs, managing recovery from anesthesia, and ensuring patient safety and comfort. Job Details: Schedule: Day shift with shift hours from 07:00 to 19:30, totaling 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Required Qualifications: Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license with current or conditional status, valid AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, at least 1 year of Med Surg/Telemetry experience, availability to work every other major holiday, and proficient in EMR systems, preferably EPIC. Valid driver's license with a matching address, recent NURSYS report, and up-to-date resume highlighting relevant experience. Preferred Qualifications: AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification, experience administering antibiotics, anticoagulants, blood products, Lasix, and Amiodarone, and familiarity with specialty equipment such as Pyxis, Zebra scanners, bladder scanners, and dopplers. Additional certifications or experiences are advantageous but not required. Additional Information: Orientation includes hospital-wide onboarding followed by two shifts on the unit with a preceptor. Candidates must have experience with common patient diagnoses such as Alcohol abuse, COPD, diabetes mellitus, congestive heart failure, sepsis, and pneumonia. The role involves working with various medical equipment and administering multiple medication types.
