Travel Nurse RN - Med Surg / Telemetry - $2,475 per week

Job Summary

Medical Surgical with Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) in Portland, Maine. This position involves providing patient care within a medical telemetry unit, supporting patients with various acute and chronic medical conditions. The RN will work primarily during night shifts, with a schedule of 12-hour shifts and a minimum of 36 hours per week.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license
• 1-2 years of clinical experience including vent management, tracheostomy care, and telemetry strip interpretation
• BLS certification
• EMS mandatory onboarding education
• Ability to float within IMC and med/surg units based on unit needs and skill level

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with respiratory patients, sepsis, DKA, altered mental status, failure to thrive, respiratory failure, or other acute/chronic medical conditions

Additional Information

• The RN will care for patients on ventilators, BiPaP, CPAP, with equipment including epidural and IV pumps, PCA pumps, VAC dressings, and trach care
• The unit has 43 beds with patient ratios of 4-5 patients per nurse during the day and 5-6 during the night in Med/Surg, and 3:1 in IMC
• The EMR system used is Epic
• The dress code requires hospital-related scrubs

Pay Package

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
