Travel Nurse RN - Med Surg / Telemetry - $2,458 per week

About the role
46-bed unit: 40 Acute Med Surg beds and 6 Intermediate Care beds. Patient ratios: Days 1:5–6, Nights 1:6–7. Traveler will float as needed to Surge Unit and Emergency Department, specifically to care for Med Surg patients who are unable to transfer to the Med Surg floor. Weekends and holidays based on unit needs (every other weekend at most).
Unit support includes a dedicated admission/discharge RN, patient ambulator, and 24/7 Respiratory Therapy and on-site Security. No IV team or dedicated Rapid Response Team.
Strong fit for a Med Surg RN comfortable with ratios up to 1:6, intermediate-care patients, and floating to overflow areas while maintaining a Med Surg assignment.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to Med Surg and intermediate-care patients
- Float to Surge Unit and Emergency Department as needed for Med Surg patients
- Work weekends and holidays based on unit needs
Requirements
- 1–2 years of Med Surg / Intermediate Care RN experience
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
