About the role
Medical Surgical with Telemetry Nurse in Alaska. This position involves providing comprehensive care to adult and geriatric patients within a Magnet-designated acute hospital. The role requires flexibility to float within scope and supports a co-care/virtual nursing model to enhance patient care delivery.
Responsibilities
- Providing patient care within a Magnet facility utilizing a co-care/virtual nursing model
- Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Use of Rapid Response/Code teams
- Peripheral line care and management
- Oxygen administration
- Non-invasive airway management
- Adherence to isolation precautions and PPE
Requirements
- BLS certification
- At least 1 year of experience
- AK Registered Nurse license (pending OK for application submission within 48 hours of signing; must have license in hand for auto-offer)
- Valid Alaska RN license in hand required for auto-offer
- Must be at least 50 miles from the facility
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with interpretation of dysrhythmias
- Management of dysrhythmias
- Rapid response and code teams
- Peripheral line management
- Oxygen therapy
Schedule
- Nights, 12-hour shifts
- Minimum of 36 hours per week
- Flexible schedule covering weekends and holidays as needed

The unit utilizes a virtual nurse working remotely to assist with patient admission, discharge education, care plans, and follow-up with physicians.
