Travel Nurse RN - Med Surg / Telemetry - $2,080 per week
Job Summary
Medical Surgical with Telemetry nurses are sought for a facility located in Alexandria, Louisiana. This position involves providing patient care on a Med Surg Telemetry unit, with a focus on positive patient outcomes and effective team collaboration. The role requires adherence to unit policies and flexibility to operate across all Med Surg Telemetry floors.
Job Details
- Shift: Nights, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications
- Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in Med Surg Telemetry
- Hold ACLS certification
- Willing to work in a location that is at least 50 miles from the candidate's current residence
Preferred Qualifications
- Candidates with strong time management and critical thinking skills are preferred
- Float rotation may be required
Additional Information
- Unit includes 36 beds with a staff of 32, comprising 1 charge nurse, six registered or licensed practical nurses, three technicians, and one secretary during night shifts
- Patient ratios are approximately 6 to 1
- Equipment used includes EKG Machines, DynaMaps, Bladder Scanners, Vein Finders, and Telemetry monitors
- Typical procedures performed include Heart Caths
- The unit maintains a friendly, positive attitude and emphasizes helpfulness and teamwork
- Dress code for staff is scrubs in ceiling blue
- The shift start date is scheduled for 08/10/2026
