Travel Nurse RN - Med Surg / Telemetry - $2,030 per week

Job Summary

Medical Surgical (MS) Telemetry Nurse in Des Moines, Iowa. This position involves providing care for patients requiring medical surgical and telemetry services. The role requires quick interviews via phone call or text, with a focus on experienced candidates comfortable with high-acuity patient care within a dynamic healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients in ED observation, overnight stays, and surgical patients requiring overnight stays
• Patient ratio is approximately 3:5, with some units at 2:7
• Unit has 16 beds

Required Qualifications

• 24 months of current Med Surg/Medical Surgical - Telemetry, or Tele/Telemetry, IMCU, stepdown, PCU experience
• Previous travel experience
• EPIC electronic medical systems experience
• Heparin experience
• Active Iowa/IA license or compact/multistate license
• BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Skills Checklist specific to the discipline
• Reference checks from supervisors or managerial staff within last 24 months
• Driver's license

Schedule

• Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Orientation dates: 08/31/2026 and 09/08/2026
• Scrubs: navy
