Travel Nurse RN - Med Surg - $3,170 per week

Job Summary

This role involves rotating between night shifts on a busy adult surgical unit that primarily manages trauma and acute care surgical patients. The nurse will support rehabilitative and supportive patient care in a fast-paced environment with specialized units including negative pressure rooms for COVID-19 patients.

Job Details

• Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week.

Required Qualifications

• NH RN License or Compact License (Proof of State Residency Required)
• BLS certification
• Minimum of 1.5 years of recent experience in a medical-surgical unit with trauma or acute care surgical patient care

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with trauma patients
• Level I or Level II Trauma Center experience preferred

Additional Information

• Care primarily for trauma including spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, orthopedic injuries, and various acute surgical diagnoses such as hernia repairs, bowel obstructions, and gallbladder surgeries.
• Must have experience with chest tubes, tubes, drips (e.g., Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, amiodarone), post-surgical lines, trachs/laryngectomies, telemetry, complex wounds, and care of central lines including blood draws.

Pay Package

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 48 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
