ND Global Consulting Services is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Utica, New York.

Responsibilities

Candidates should be comfortable caring for adult patients with conditions including:

• Stroke and altered mental status
• Renal conditions and dialysis
• COPD and CHF
• Pneumonia and other pulmonary conditions
• General Medical‑Surgical diagnoses
• Patients requiring isolation precautions

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Medical‑Surgical experience, including Stroke Stepdown experience
• Previous travel nursing experience
• Current AHA BLS certification
• NIHSS certification (required for this unit; may be obtained before the start date)
• Active New York (NY) RN license required at the time of submission

Skills

Experience with the following equipment is beneficial:

• IV pumps
• Nasogastric (NG) tubes
• Feeding tubes

Schedule

• Shift: 12 hours, nights (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Guaranteed hours: 48 hours per week
• Block scheduling is not promised or guaranteed
• Floating to other units is required

Additional information

Required submission documents

• Updated resume documenting at least 2 years of MS experience, including Stroke Stepdown experience and travel assignments
• Completed specialty‑specific skills checklist
• Driver’s license with an address matching the candidate’s demographic information
• Current AHA BLS certification
• NIHSS certification or confirmation that it will be obtained before the start date
• Full Nursys report and license verification showing an active NY RN license and all other active RN licenses
• All requested time off (RTO) must be included at the time of submission

Local candidates: Candidates living within 75 miles will receive the local pay rate.
