Staffing and Ratios

• Day shift RN ratio: 1:4–5
• Night shift RN ratio: 1:5–6
• Charge Nurse available 24/7
• Charge Nurse is ideally without an assignment but may take patients when staffing requires
• House Supervisor available 24/7
• Patient Care Technicians available around the clock
• Days: approximately 1:6–7
• Nights: approximately 1:10

Experience Requirements

• Recent General Medical or Medical-Surgical RN experience
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Comfortable caring for a varied adult medical population
• Must be willing to float based on hospital staffing needs

Certification

• Required: Current AHA BLS
