About the Unit
This unit has 2 negative pressure rooms serving the COVID population. It's a busy unit focusing on rehabilitating and supporting patient needs, with common diagnoses including traumas like spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, and orthopedic injuries from trauma. Common acute care surgical diagnoses include hernia repair, small bowel obstructions, appendectomy, and cholecystectomy. The unit requires experience on a fast-paced medical surgical unit, preferably with Level I Trauma center experience but several years at a Level II Trauma center is acceptable.
Required Experience
- Chest tubes
- Tubes drips such as Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, or amiodarone
- Lines/tubes/drain for post-surgical patients
- Trachs/laryngectomies
- Telemetry
- Complex wounds
- Central Lines - care and maintenance and blood draws
Required Credentials
- NH RN License or Compact License (Proof of State Residency Required)
- BLS
