A Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical Floor care is needed at a healthcare organization in Marquette, Michigan. This position involves working on a 24-bed unit that manages trauma, orthopedic, neurological, and general pediatric cases across all ages over 28 days. The RN will deliver patient care according to clinical protocols and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule

• Night shifts, 12 hours per shift
• Minimum of 36 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care on a 24-bed unit handling trauma, orthopedic, neurological, and general pediatric cases
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment
• Support patients across different age groups (over 28 days)
• Float to inpatient units as required
• Adapt to an EHR transition from Paragon to Cerner (scheduled for 03/01/2024)

Requirements

• Valid RN license
• BLS certification
• PALS certification (preferred)
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in acute care, particularly in adult and pediatric trauma, orthopedic, and neuro cases

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems
• Previous trauma or neuro unit experience
• Strong teamwork skills
