About the Role
AMN Healthcare Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a 13-week assignment in Lewiston, Maine. This role offers 36 hours per week with 12-hour night shifts at a 250-bed full-service regional referral hospital featuring advanced surgical services and a comprehensive cancer program.
Lewiston is known for its vibrant arts scene, including the historic Bates College Museum of Art, and is located about a 40-minute drive from Portland. The city offers a thriving arts culture, annual film festivals, a symphony orchestra, art museums, theater troupes, and outdoor recreational spots like Kennedy Park and Veterans Memorial Park.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care in a medical-surgical and oncology setting.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care.
- Utilize EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) systems for documentation and patient management.
Requirements
- Current nursing licensure (RN, Compact accepted).
- Minimum of 2 years of surgical and oncology experience.
- BLS certification.
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR systems.
- Strong communication skills and experience in multidisciplinary care.
- SSN, date of birth, and one professional reference required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Chemo certification.
Pay
Pay rate: $2,305.00 - $2,423.00 per week (based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week, subject to confirmation). Tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
