Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical (MS) on the 12-hour rotating shift is responsible for delivering direct nursing care in accordance with organizational policies, procedures, and protocols. This role involves coordinating patient care within an interdisciplinary team, facilitating patient education, and participating in discharge planning to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse license from the North Dakota Board of Nursing (NDBON) or a Compact State Agreement

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)

  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)

  • 1 year of clinical experience in Medical Surgical Nursing or equivalent clinical experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems

  • Strong communication skills

  • Commitment to patient-centered care

Additional Information

  • The RN will perform daily patient rounds, develop and implement individualized care plans, respond promptly to patient symptoms and changes in condition, and document all patient interactions according to standard operating procedures.

  • The nurse will also delegate tasks safely within scope of practice and participate in ongoing education to maintain competencies.
