About the role
- 12-hour shifts available on both days and nights, 36 hours per week
- Illinois RN license required
- Department: Neuro MedSurg, 54 beds (2 semi-private)
- Nurse-to-patient ratios: Day shift 1:4-5, Night shift 1:5-6
- Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS
- Charting system: EPIC
Responsibilities
- Care for patients with common diagnoses including stroke, spine surgery, seizure, brain tumor, head injury, any neuroscience condition, and some medical overflow
Requirements
- Level 1 trauma experience
- Previous travel nursing experience (no first-time travelers)
- Prior experience working on a dedicated neuro unit
