Travel Nurse RN - Med Surg - $2,295 per week
About the role
The Medical Surgical Registered Nurse is based on the medical-surgical floor at a healthcare facility in Hermiston, Oregon. This role involves providing direct patient care to adult patients before and after surgical procedures, assessing patient conditions, administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of nursing duties across departments with appropriate supervision
- Recognize and uphold patient confidentiality rights and responsibilities
- Communicate effectively with individuals from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds
- Support guest relations and incorporate empathy, teamwork, and cooperation into daily activities
- Provide care tailored to age-specific, cultural, physical, and psychosocial needs
- Float to other qualified departments as needed
- Participate in required education for DNV programs as applicable
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oregon
- Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
- Evidence of continuing education appropriate for skill level and practice area
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred
- Certified Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (CMSRN) preferred
- Previous Medical-Surgical nursing experience preferred
- CRASE training (if extension beyond 6 months)
Schedule
- 16-week assignment starting 08/15/2026
- Night shift, 12 hours per shift
- Minimum of 36 hours per week

Pay
Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
