Unit Specifics

  • Number of Beds : 30 (when opened fully in March/April). Currently at 18 with renovations in process.

  • Patient Ratios : 6-7:1

  • Team nursing approach with techs on the unit, US on day shift and we strive to have a free Charge Nurse to support the team.

  • Type of equipment : regular for Med Surg

  • Documentation system: Meditech

  • Scheduling requirements: must work 4 weekend shifts every 4-week scheduling period

  • Floating policy: would be required to float to like units as the needs dictate

  • Patient Experience requirements: Must perform hourly safety rounds and perform bedside shift report with the patient

Hospital Specifics

  • Certifications: BLS & NIH Stroke Scale
