Travel Nurse RN - Med Surg - $2,260 per week

Job Summary

A Medical Surgical Floor registered nurse position is available in Galesburg, Illinois. This role involves providing patient care on a unit specializing in managing conditions such as COPD, Sepsis, CVA, COVID, and pneumonia. The position requires delivering compassionate and efficient care during 12-hour night shifts in a busy acute care environment.

Job Details

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.

Required Qualifications

• Illinois license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated;
• BLS (AHA);
• minimum of 2 years of nursing experience;
• active IL license.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Medical Surgical nursing.

Department

The Medical Surgical Nursing unit with 37 beds, including private and semi-private rooms.

Patient Ratios

• Day shift 1:4-6, night shift 1:5-6, with CNAs assigned at 1:10-15.

Orientation

• 3 days total: 2 days departmental and 1 day hospital/EMR orientation.

Floats

• May float to other floors if competent.

Additional Information

• No vents on unit;
• most common meds include Lasix and Heparin drips;
• central monitor tech available for Tele patients;

Pay Package

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
