Travel Nurse RN - Med Surg - $2,215 per week

About the role

A Medical Surgical (MedSurg) Registered Nurse (RN) position is available in a critical access hospital located in Medford, Wisconsin. This role involves providing patient care on a shared ICU and Medical Surgical unit, requiring candidates to bring their nursing license on the first day. The position offers an opportunity to work 12-hour variable shifts with a travel duration of 13 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care on a shared ICU and Medical Surgical unit
• Work 12-hour variable shifts, with every other weekend and holiday
• Occasional float to other departments or locations such as Merrill, Wausau, Stanley, and Langlade (floats are only to assist with non-patient load tasks like vital checks)
• May be placed on call during low census hours with at least a minimum of 2 hours call back pay

Required Qualifications

• Wisconsin RN license
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from AHA (American Heart Association) or ARC (American Red Cross)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• Associate Degree or Certificate
• Minimum 2+ years of experience
• Experience in Emergency Department (ED) or Intensive Care Unit (ICU) very helpful
• Ability to read tele strips
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Must adhere to vaccination policy during Flu Season; declined vaccination requires wearing a mask

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• Epic charting experience preferred

Schedule

• 12-hour variable shifts, with every other weekend and holiday
• 36 hours per week
• 13-week contract length
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
