Responsibilities
- Maintain patient safety and comfort by monitoring heart rhythms using electrocardiograms (EKGs)
- Administer medications as prescribed
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop patient care plans
- Document patient conditions and progress in electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Provide education to patients and families about ongoing care
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program
- A current Connecticut RN license
- Recent experience in telemetry or step-down units
