Responsibilities

  • Maintain patient safety and comfort by monitoring heart rhythms using electrocardiograms (EKGs)
  • Administer medications as prescribed
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop patient care plans
  • Document patient conditions and progress in electronic medical record (EMR) systems
  • Provide education to patients and families about ongoing care

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program
  • A current Connecticut RN license
  • Recent experience in telemetry or step-down units
