Geriatric Medical Surgical Nurse position in Spring Grove, MN. This role involves providing care on a long-term care floor at a 43-bed facility, with an emphasis on geriatric patient management. The position requires adaptability to shift rotations and the ability to deliver high-quality nursing care to an elderly population.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care on a long-term care floor specializing in geriatric patient management
• Adapt to rotating shifts and 8-hour work schedules
• Float between two facilities (25 miles apart) as required
• Work weekends and holidays as needed
• Initiate medical compliance within 48 hours of offer acceptance

Requirements

• Minnesota Registered Nurse (RN) license
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• 2+ years of registered nurse (RN) experience
• 1+ year in long-term care (LTC)
• Associate degree or certificate in nursing
• COVID vaccine (exemptions considered)

Unit Information

• Long-term care unit with 43 beds, equipped for comprehensive geriatric care
• Night shifts primarily staffed by one nurse and two CNAs
• Day/evening shifts include a charge nurse and additional nursing staff
• Travel is guaranteed to set hours except during holidays when the unit is closed

Pay

Pay package is based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

• 40 hours per week minimum
• Rotating shifts, 8-hour shifts (12-hour shifts possible)
• Weekend and holiday rotation as needed
