Travel Nurse RN - Med Surg - $2,164 per week

About the role

Malone Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a position in Weirton, West Virginia. The position starts on July 27, 2026 and lasts for 13 weeks, with a 36-hour workweek, including 12-hour night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Vitals, BGM's, EKG's, apply heart monitor
• Bathing, feeding, toileting, turning and positioning
• RT Equipment (Vents, Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, etc.) monitoring
• Reading and interpreting tele strips (when applicable)
• Floating to other units as needed

Requirements

• BLS Certification
• RN License
• Experience: 1 year preferred, open to first-time travelers

Qualifications

• Required Certifications: BLS, RN License (can take PCT class to become PCT or have CNA)
• Common Diagnoses/Types of Patients: Pneumonia, UTI, AMS, GI bleed, Alcohol withdrawal, falls/weakness
• Charge Nurse: 2 on Day shift, will take assignments; 1 on Night shift, does not take assignments
• Nurse Aids/Patient Care Techs: Ratio 1:10-12, RT manages Resp equipment, RNs monitor
• Tele/monitor techs: Reads and monitors teles, RNs not expected to interpret
• Shifts & Scheduling: No self-scheduling or block scheduling, flexible with RTO
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Rotated among RNs, PCTs do not have scheduled holidays
• Call/Standby Requirement: None
• Floating Requirements: Floating and shift pull rotation
• Scrubs Provided: RN: Navy blue, PCT: Ceil Blue, Secretaries: Black and pink
• Orientation: 1 day Educator/Computer System, 1 day with a preceptor
