Travel Nurse RN - Med Surg - $2,120 per week

About the role

Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing assignment in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The position is for a Medical Surgical Floor (MS) role, starting 10/05/2026, lasting 13 weeks, with 36 hours per week on 12‑hour day shifts (7:00 AM–7:00 PM). Employment type is travel.

Responsibilities

• Meet expectations of applicable clinical competencies
• Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols, monitor for side effects and effectiveness
• Document thorough patient histories and care
• Provide education to patients, families, and caregivers
• Work in a fast‑paced, diverse patient care environment requiring clinical competence, independence, and effective delegation
• Float to all Medical Surgical departments under the designated nurse

Requirements

• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• RN license in the state of employment or a compact license
• 1 year of experience in a similar nursing specialty
