About the role
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical (MS) on the inpatient floor, located in Lewiston, ME. This 8-week contract assignment offers an opportunity to work in a busy unit with a focus on surgical patient care, telemetry, and managing a variety of diagnoses.
Responsibilities
The position requires experienced nurses capable of providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. The role involves managing common diagnoses such as diabetes mellitus and pneumonia, trauma, and general surgical care. Candidate should have experience with telemetry and be comfortable working in a clinical environment that supports both surgical and telemetry needs.
Requirements
- Valid RN license
- BLS or BCLS certification; ACLS preferred
- 2+ years of experience in medical-surgical and telemetry nursing
- Proficiency in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Experience with bariatric populations preferred
Job Details
Shift: Nights, 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. The unit is a 37-bed surgical unit with a high patient turnover, equipped with specialty beds (bariatrics), wound vacs, Preventavacs, and Baxter IV Pumps. Experience with ultrasound IV teams is beneficial.

Pay
Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
