Travel Nurse RN - Med Surg - $2,095 per week

About the role

Medical Surgical Floor Registered Nurse Performing independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted practice standards as defined by the state Board of Nursing. The role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care, as well as providing health teaching and counseling. This position requires delivering supportive and restorative therapy and treatment directly to patients or through consultation and supervision of others. The RN may be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and may be placed on-call during scheduled shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions per state Board of Nursing standards
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care
• Provide health teaching and counseling
• Deliver supportive and restorative therapy and treatment directly to patients or via consultation/supervision
• Float to other departments within scope of competency as needed
• Be placed on-call during scheduled shifts
• Perform health assessments
• Develop and monitor treatment plans
• Utilize resources effectively
• Document according to regulatory standards
• Promote the organization's mission and values
• Provide patient referrals

Requirements

• Valid license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice
• ASN (Associate of Science in Nursing) or equivalent from an accredited School of Nursing
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association
• Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience
• Preferred: Bachelor of Nursing degree
• Preferred: ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), or PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications as appropriate for the specialty
