Travel Nurse RN - Med Surg - $2,088 per week

About the role
- 36 hours per week, 12-hour night shifts
- Medical/Surgical unit with nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:4–5 on days, 1:4–6 on evenings, 1:6 overnight
- Weekend rotation and every-other-holiday expectation
- Call optional; not required
- Minimum one year of experience required
- BLS certification required; Epic EMR experience preferred
- Unit uses Alaris and Pyxis systems
- CNA support ratios: 1:4–5 days, 1:6 evenings, 1:8 overnight
- Charge nurse takes a partial patient assignment
- Phlebotomy available; RNs responsible for central-line draws
- IV/VAT Team available Mondays and Thursdays
- 24/7 respiratory therapy and hospitalist support
- On-site RRT/Code Blue team and centralized telemetry with telemetry technician
- OT, PT, and ST available weekdays; limited weekend availability
- May float to other Med-Surg units or ER holds
- Orientation: 1–2 days based on comfort level
- Scrubs: any professional color; free parking provided
Responsibilities
- Care for patients including oncology, surgical (bowel, GU, CBI), cellulitis, GI bleeds, CHF, overflow, and outpatient infusions
- Manage chest tubes, IV skills, port/central-line care, and CPAP/BiPAP/Airvo
- Stable trach management preferred; chemotherapy certification not required
Facility
101-licensed-bed hospital serving as a Level IV Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center. The 24-bed Med/Surg unit provides comprehensive care with robust support services including 24/7 respiratory therapy, hospitalist coverage, and an RRT/Code Blue team.

Pay
Estimated gross weekly pay: $2,088 plus a $500 contract-completion bonus. Pay package includes tax-free stipends for lodging, meals, and incidentals.
