About the role
Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) position in Watertown, Wisconsin. This role involves providing patient care on a medical/surgical floor, supporting adults with various diagnoses including sepsis, pneumonia, heart failure, and renal failure. The position offers a dynamic environment with opportunities to collaborate within a dedicated team, ensuring high-quality patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 32-bed medical/surgical unit with a typical census of 10-20 patients and a nurse-to-patient ratio of approximately 4-6 patients per RN
- Temporarily float as a sitter to senior behavioral health units or intensive care units to support operational needs
- Adhere to uniform dress code: navy blue, royal blue, Caribbean blue, black, or gray scrubs (no hoodies, sweatshirts, or fleece)
Requirements
- Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
- Valid nursing license
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
- Located in Wisconsin or willing to relocate
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with post-surgical patients
- Familiarity with medical equipment such as Baxter IV pumps and GE monitors
- Knowledgeable in EHR systems like Meditech
Schedule
- Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- 12-hour shifts
